🤑 Wisconsin v. Amazon

• The Federal Trade Commission and 17 states — including Wisconsin — have filed a lawsuit against retail giant Amazon that could threaten the company’s existence. The complaint alleges that Amazon is an illegal monopoly that blocks competition, inflates prices, degrades product quality, and stifles innovation. [FTC]

☕️ Coming Soon: High Crowd Cafe

• A Tik-Tok-famous cafe serving drinks and baked goods with a twist of THC will soon be open on State Street. Drinks and baked goods at High Crowd Cafe are made with hemp-derived THC or CBD. The cafe is set to open at 115 State St., the former home of Buck & Badger Northwoods Lodge. [Wisconsin State Journal]
• Is this legal? Technically, yes. Hemp-derived edibles are legal if they have no more than 0.3% THC on a dry weight basis, which the cafe’s owners say is true for all of their products. Anyone is welcome to come in for an un-infused drink, but customers wishing to consume CBD or THC must be at least 21 years old.

🍔 CurderBurger, CurderBurger, CurderBurger

• For the third year, Culver’s has announced the return of its famous (infamous?) CurderBurger. The novelty item will be available for a limited time starting Oct. 2.
• For the uninitiated, a CurderBurger is a ​​Deluxe ButterBurger topped with what Culver’s calls a “Wisconsin Cheese Curd crown.” The idea for the burger started off as an April Fool’s joke but when floods of eager customers demanded the fictional burger, the Sauk City-based chain decided to make their cheese curd dreams come true.
