What's CITY Talking About?

📬 Absentee Ballots Are in the Mail
- Keep your eyes on your mailboxes because the Madison City Clerk’s Office has sent out absentee ballots for the Aug. 13 Partisan Primary. Don’t delay on returning your ballot once it’s filled out. Ballots must be returned early enough to be counted on election day — and postmarks don’t count.

💭 Got Us Daydreaming
- Daydream is a free music event happening at James Madison Park June 29. This event has three Madison DJs and two regional DJs. It’s open to all ages and the different performances will go from 2-8 p.m.

🏘️ Is the Housing Market Easing Up?
- According to data from Mad City Dream Homes, the answer seems to be yes — but just a little bit.
- While prices are still high, the ease can be attributed to a larger inventory and fewer competing offers overall.

🏛️ Leaked Court Order
- A newly leaked draft order shows the Wisconsin Supreme Court will hear a lawsuit that seeks to affirm abortion rights as protected under the state's constitution.
- This lawsuit was filed back in February by Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin and hopes to provide long-term protection for abortions in Wisconsin.
- The draft also denies attempts from a coalition of Wisconsin anti-abortion groups to intervene in the case.

Friday Floof

The orange cat on the left is named Crumbles and the black cat on the right is named Q-tip. Crumbles is described as the smarter of the two, whereas Q-Tip is more good looking. One is truly the brains while the other is the beauty of their various operations.
