🎨 Fundraiser for Verona’s New Arts Hub

  • Art House 360° will open in 2025 in a historic, 12,000-square-foot schoolhouse. In early July, the nonprofit received a $250,000 grant from the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation to restore the building and are now working to raise $3 million to operationalize the project.
  • On Aug. 16, the hub will host a fundraiser called “Dancing for the Arts” at Century School Park, that will feature live performances and an opportunity to see the inside of the future studio.
  • This space will provide art opportunities for the community and an environment for artists, dancers, and actors. There will also be a podcast studio, film screenings, and Friday night concerts by local bands. [Madison Magazine]

Meet Claudia! This 8-year-old cat is very sweet and friendly. She loves receiving pets, especially on her head and neck, and will give head bumps asking for more attention.

She has been enrolled in The Jackson Galaxy Project’s Cat Pawsitive initiative, a reward-based clicker training program, to keep her mentally and physically active while she waits to find his new home. Claudia has also been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and is on medication. She has been at the Dane County Humane Society for a bit, so she’s a member of their Lonely Hearts Club and her adoption fee has been sponsored. Also, DCHS has reduced adoption fees for cats by 50% now through Aug. 18.
