🛣️ Plan for N. Lake Street Detour

• Starting Monday, Aug. 19, N. Lake Street from University Avenue to Langdon Street will be reduced to one southbound lane. Northbound drivers can take the detour via Park Street.
• The detour is taking place because of a sanitary replacement project.

🏘️ Is Madison Meeting the Affordable Housing Demand?

• The city is “nowhere near” meeting the demand at more affordable price points, according to Jim O’Keefe, Madison’s community development director, in a recent interview with The Cap Times.
• Madison continues to urge developers to designate at least 20% of total units at or below 30% of the county median income, but O’Keefe says it’s been challenging to serve “very low-income households.” [The Cap Times]
