🎭 A bit of Broadway comes to Madison

April 18, 2025 · — Rob Thomas

Good morning, Madison! If you’re going to the Dane County Farmers’ Market, you can help out local growers and people in need at the same time. The “Buy Out the Market” rally urges people to buy produce at the market, then join a march over to James Madison Park, where it will be collected and donated to neighbors in need 🥕

🏗️ Development Would Bring 200 Apartments to South Side

  • Revised plans for a two-building development on South Park Street would include 200 income-restricted apartments and underground parking. The development includes an eight-story building that would, in addition to apartments, house medical offices for Public Health Madison and Dane County.
  • The other building would be a five-story apartment building, with part of the ground floor used as the new home of Fire Station No. 6. The project still requires approval by the city. [ 🔒 WSJ]

📰 Extra! Extra! Clyde Stubblefield was not only an iconic R&B drummer for James Brown, he was a longtime Madison resident. Today would have been his birthday (he died in 2017), and some of Madison’s funkiest bands are celebrating his legacy tonight at the High Noon Saloon. Give the drummer some! 🥁
