💔 Bob Queen, Godfather of East Side Music Festivals, Dies at 76
- Many of Madison’s free East Side summer music festivals would likely not exist without Bob Queen, who died Monday at 76.
- Queen started both the Marquette Neighborhood Festival, La Fête de Marquette and the Sessions series now at Garver Feed Mill, and greatly expanded the Orton Park Festival, which just celebrated its 60th anniversary. In 2023, Queen talked about Sessions on the City Cat Madison podcast. [ 🔒 WSJ, 🎧 City Cast Madison]
